Specialized
Pumps are used in applications where the use of standard commodity pumps
would provide inferior performance. What are your needs?
The general needs for a pump is to move a specific quantity of a fluid
at a certain pressure. Unfortunately for the user, there are many different
designs of pumps capable of meeting these conditions, consequently considering
all types and knowing that the best has been selected is very difficult.
It may be possible to perform the service with a standard pump, but quite
often the best solution is to use a specialized niche engineered
pump, particularly when the lifetime cost of ownership is considered.
The savings in low initial cost of a commodity pump can soon be negated
with excessive maintenance!
Let us put our experience to work for you by selecting the type of pump
that will work well in your service. We are not tied to one manufacturer
or style of pump, which gives us the ability to make an informed and proper
recommendation for your application, enabling you to be knowledgeable
and comfortable with the decision.
1) SEALLESS -
these are used where leakage of the pumped liquid to the atmosphere is
to be completely eliminated
2) LOW FLOW/ HIGH HEAD
- generally pumps outside the pressure range of centrifugal
pumps, or to the far left of the centrifugal pump best efficiency point
3) CHEMICAL RESISTANT
- pumps where corrosion from the pumped liquid is a major problem
4) HIGH VISCOSITY
- viscosities above approximately 100 SSU
5) WATER AND WASTE SERVICE
- a wide range of products covering the water and waste industries
6) LARGE PUMPS - pump
to handle multiphase gas and liquid, solid handling, self priming, wide
operating range, steep performance curve, etc.
