SEALLESS
PUMPS
These pumps provide a solid barrier in between the pumped liquid and the
atmosphere. Sealless pumps fall into three main categories:
1) Magnetic Drive
– the pump is driven through an internal / external magnet
2) Canned Motor
– specially protected motor is located in the pumped liquid and drives
the pump
3) Peristaltic
– a flexing component moves the liquid
Each style of pump has its own unique feature and benefits, for example,
the magnetic drive pump is driven by a standard drive whereas the canned
motor has its own built in motor and is capable of handling very high
suction pressures.
The peristaltic / diaphragm design can be supplied in chemically resistant
plastics, and is very suitable for low flows.
